Huapi

The Huapi wing is replacing the Altea and the Estive. Nervures has managed to design an exceptional paraglider with which you can start to learn to fly and continue to use for your progression for many years. Nervures had to review their basic design from scratch and perform intensive real life tests to bring you the Huapi.

Technically, the Huapi stands out from the rest of the Nervures paragliders range. It has a flat bottom surface, closed cells near the wing tip and diagonal ribs. The lines complexity has been reduced to the minimum with only three levels. The Huapi has a set of split As for easy big ears and last but not least the paraglider is light. It is 850 gr lighter than the equivalent Altea. If it is not light enough there is also a Huapi Mountain available (the medium wing weights only 3.6 kg!)

The result is a paraglider that inflates as well as the Estive and has the performance of the Altea. In flight it is highly manoeuvrable and precise. Coring the thermals is child’s play; it is an easy and satisfying paraglider. The controls are typical of Nervures: fair control travel, but a linear and precise response.

XS and XL models

With an all up weight of 45 to 58 kg, we had the light weight pilots in mind when designing this 21 m2 Huapi which will be certified. This Huapi XS will replace the legendary Etna and will offer to young and light weight pilots a real gateway to the free flying world. Finally, the 34 m2 Huapi XL is for the heaviest of us and the paramotor pilots but can also be used as a small tandem paraglider for radical expeditions.

Huapi Mountain

The Huapi Mountain is made of and certified using a cloth exclusive to Nervures. It is a cloth of high technological sophistication composed of 22 dtex high strength polyamide fibers, with a weight of 28 g/m2 specifically developed by NCV on our specifications. On top of the usual lab tests, this new cloth has been intensively tested in real life situation in South America on several wings with more than 200 hours per paraglider. Its aging qualities are excellent in every respect.

The paraglider is very fast and profits from being flown loaded. We have measured speed of 40 km/h hands up and 49 km/h accelerated on the Medium size at the top of the weight range.

We have also worked on the other side of the speed range. It is a wing that slows down extremely well. It enters the parachutal phase very gently and stays under control. As long as you are gentle on the controls it will stay open and will not pitch backward. On easing of the commands it will fly again straight away. All these slow flight characteristics make landing in small places much easier.
