Kenya Expé

The Kenya Expé was originally destined for paraglider operations in the high mountains, where every ounce counts but there is no room to Compromise on handling or performance. This aesthetically pure mountain paraglider takes its shape from the standard Kenya, but is manufactured from lighter fabric and has special lightweight risers. Even easier to launch, the Kenya Expé inflates with minimal effort even in nil wind. This allows takeoffs to be achieved in more risky locations with cool serenity. The ultra light canopy is easily controlled even in strong turbulence.

The weight reduction, (more than 1 Kg compared to the regular Kenya), has been achieved by the following means:

• Use of new material: NCV Skytex 9017, abrasion-toughened 38g/m 2 (leading edge and suspended cells). Polyant 0.5 oz UCN 26g/m 2 (remainder of the canopy).
• Thinner upper suspension lines (Dyneema unsheathed 80 daN) and at the lower rear parts (Dynemaa. 1.1 mm).
• Risers are made out of Spectra lines (Microline 650 daN)

Diverted from their primary vocation, some Kenya Expé travel the world. Crammed into the bottom of some backpack, these wings belong to some free flying nomads in the pursuit of eternal spring. Their plan: poetic flights amidst incredible landscapes. In these extreme conditions of storage and use, the materials in the Kenya Expé have well proved their durability.

It is not planned to proceed with a new certification for this model. A regular inspection (every 100 hours) is required.
